A rotating monthly coffee subscription designed to bring you a vibrant, and ever-changing coffee experience. Each month, our team intentionally sources and small batch roasts a new coffee to highlight its unique characteristics. This subscription will contain single origins only, and offer a variety of different country of origin, process, and flavor notes.

March 2025 Coffee: Ethiopia Sidamo

Flavor Notes: Blueberry, Blackberry, Brownie

We roast this coffee to a medium roast level to have a smooth and warm finish while still offering a penetrating depth of flavor.

Coffee is ancient in Ethiopia, but coffee farming is not. By the end of the 9th Century coffee was actively being cultivated in Ethiopia as food, but not as a beverage. Ethiopian coffee was the result of gathering rather than agricultural practices.

As the birthplace of coffee, Ethiopia is home to more species of coffee plants than any place on earth, much of which grows wild, and it is still undiscovered. Although there are a few estates in Ethiopia, 95% of coffee is grown by small land holders in a wide variety of environments, including “coffee forests” where coffee grows wild and is harvested by the local people. All specialty grade Ethiopian Coffee is grown above 4,000 feet and most above 6,000.
